Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Velero Labs L.L.C. ("Velero Labs", "we", "us"), a limited liability company formed in Wyoming, USA, handles your information when you use the Viaz mobile app ("Viaz"). The website velerolabs.com has its own policy.
The short version
- We use your photos and trips to make your videos. We do not sell them and we do not use them to train AI models.
- We do not store your name or email address in your Viaz account.
- We do not ask for your location or your contacts.
- You can delete your account and your content from the app at any time.
Information we collect
- Account. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we keep the sign-in provider and a unique identifier from that provider, plus the dates your account was created and last used.
- Trips and photos. The trip names, cities, dates, and video style you choose, and the photos you select, with their size and capture date. Viaz only accesses the photos you pick.
- Videos. The videos we generate from your trips.
- Purchases. Your plan and subscription status, product, and renewal or expiry dates. Apple and Google process payments, so we never receive your card details.
- Device and notifications. If you allow notifications, a push token, your device platform, and your language.
- Advertising. On the Free plan, our advertising partner may collect the data described under "Ads".
- Technical data. Basic logs such as IP address, request details, and errors, used to keep the service running and secure.
How we use it
- To sign you in, keep your trips, and generate and deliver your videos.
- To manage your plan, limits, and subscription.
- To tell you when a video is ready, if you allow notifications.
- To show ads on the Free plan.
- To secure, maintain, and improve Viaz, and to meet our legal obligations.
Your photos
Photos are resized and uploaded to private storage so that our systems can generate your video. They are not public, and you decide whether to share the finished video. We do not use GPS data from your photos.
Ads
The Free plan may show ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers, your IP address, and information about how you interact with ads. On iPhone, we ask for your permission before using your advertising identifier for tracking. Where the law requires it, we also ask for your consent, and you can refuse. Service providers
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with providers that help us run Viaz, or when the law requires it.

Where data is processed
Your information may be processed in countries other than yours, including Mexico and the United States, where data protection laws may differ.
How long we keep it
- Trips and photos: until you delete them or delete your account.
- Generated videos: 7 days.
- Video job records and purchase events: up to 90 days.
- Sign-in sessions: until they expire, plus 7 days.
We may keep information for longer if the law requires it.
Deleting your account
Open Settings in the app and tap Delete account, or email contact@velerolabs.com. We delete your account, trips, photos, and videos from our active systems right away. Copies in backups are removed as those backups expire, and limited purchase records may remain for up to 90 days. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in the App Store or Google Play.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or limit its use, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To use these rights, email contact@velerolabs.com.
Security
We encrypt data in transit, restrict access, and keep photos in private storage. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Viaz is not directed at children under 13, or the minimum age in your country. We do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has used Viaz, contact us and we will delete the account.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by other means if the changes are important.
